Dr. Amrish Chandra is a registered patent Agent [IN/PA-2959] an established academician, a research scientist, and a with specilization in Pharmaceutical Sciences, biotechnology, and allied sciences. He has extensive experience of 18 years and is associated with AUUP from 2011. He has served as Proctor at the University.

Dr Chandra did his master’s in pharmacy from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra in 2002, a GATE scorer with 92.32 percentile, he did his Ph.D. in Transdermal Drug Delivery Systems in Pharmaceutical Sciences. His research profile includes 85 publications with 1000+ citations, h & i-10 index of 13 & 21 respectively, a cumulative impact factor of 60+, has supervised 8 Ph.D. and 25 PG students & has a DST sponsored Indo-Hungary Project of 1.75 Crore & an Italian consultancy project.

Dr Amrish Chandra has been dedicated to patent drafting and prosecution. He has a vast array of experience with all aspects of the Indian patent process, US Patent  & PCT filing, including assessing patentability and performing freedom-to-operate searches; drafting applications; reporting and responding to Office Actions; preparing infringement and validity opinions, and counseling clients regarding portfolio management strategies. He has also advised clients extensively on and assisted with the preparation of industrial design applications.

Dr. Chandra has drafted patent applications in a wide range of technologies, including telecommunications, IoT, protective garments, pharmaceutical formulations, nanotechnology, and herbal formulations.

Dr Chandra provides support to individuals, institutes, and to corporate. Dr. Chandra works as a freelancer to provide due technical inputs for securing patent grants in difficult and complex cases which are of high value. His passion to help academicians bring their research to the forefront is what drives him into IPR stream.
