A trademark is
an essential asset that identifies your brand and company. A trademark can be a
distinctive symbol, such as a word, mark, name, object, label, number, or
combination of colours, that is employed by the trademark’s owner to identify
goods, services, or other objects of commerce in order to set them apart from
similar products or services offered by other firms. A trademark is something
that manufacturers or service providers use to distinguish their own goods
and/or services from those of others. It is used to set the owners’ goods and
services apart from those of their rivals.
A
trademark can be identified by the letters “TM” or the “R in a
circle” ®, signifying a registered trademark. a trademark that separates
the products or services of members of an organization of people from those of
others. Individuals are able to keep ownership rights to their original works
of art and creative endeavours because of intellectual property laws.
Trademarks in
India are registered by the Controller General of Patents. A trademark owner
has the legal right to sue for penalties if their trademark is violated when it
is registered under the Trademark Act of 1999.
